From clay to body panel - Custom bodywork for Yamaha XT660Z
The original body panels could not be used after changing the navigation tower. The initial shape made of clay was scanned as an input for the final model that was protoed with FDM prints. The final parts are manufactured by SLS technology and painter later.
The panels are designed to hold standard indicators. Making the part road-legal was an important element of the project.
